Need help planning my Alternate History!

Hi, this is a long one and I will give credit when I write it.

My AHC is about a world where the Protestant reformation doesn't happen, or is largely crushed so there are no Protestant-majority nations in Europe, and preferably very few elsewhere. (Much as Czech Hussites were crushed). I don't mind how simple it is (Like simply killing Martin Luther).

Things I need to happen:

1. Egypt, Jerusalem, Antioch and Tunisia are permanently reconquered by Christians

2. Islamic expansion into Sub-Saharan Africa is severely halted, allowing the modern nations there to adopt Christianity

3. The Teutonic State survives into the modern day, much like the Papal States did

4. All of Rome and a few other towns in Italy still belong to the Pope

5. Mongols Christianise, and with them the Cumans, Kipchaks and Central Asians

6. By modern day, large Christian minority in Iran and Christian majority in Central Asia

7. Larger Christian minority in China by the 20th century

8. Christian majority in Kyushu, Japan

9. Larger Christian minority in India

Thanks for all help. I don't mind if things are a little impossible, but nothing ASB please. Thanks!!!

Hi, this is a long one and I will give credit when I write it.

Killing Martin Luther will not stamp out Protestantism. As you mentioned the Hussites, they were around before Luther, and he would not have been the end-all, be-all of Catholic reforms. Instead, simply have the Catholic Church take on a few of the reforms without undermining the Church itself. I don't know make the damn Popes be actual Popes, and not Kings in their own right.

Things I need to happen:

1. Egypt, Jerusalem, Antioch and Tunisia are permanently reconquered by Christians
"Permanently" eh? At what time period? Could get interesting. We're still going by the old Schism, though, right? So Byzantium's Orthodoxy might still work for you "Christians" if push comes to shove.

2. Islamic expansion into Sub-Saharan Africa is severely halted, allowing the modern nations there to adopt Christianity
This was already going on for centuries before Europeans like the Portuguese started bounding down the Gold Coast. Unlikely to happen. Only other option is to get to them before Islam, and keep up a spirited trade via sea, thereby contesting the Islamic inland tradeways.

3. The Teutonic State survives into the modern day, much like the Papal States did
They survived until the Reformation, then became a secular state as the Hochmeister opted out of Catholicism's duties. Without "The" Reformation, this is not necessarily abated.

4. All of Rome and a few other towns in Italy still belong to the Pope
"Belong" to the Pope? As in his right to rule as veritable King? Or under his political sway as head of the Church? Either one is going to be difficult. Too many small interests fighting over the scraps. Keeping France at bay in the late 14-early 1500s could help, but as said, by then the Popes are already made with 'living of the earth' despite what the Bible says.

5. Mongols Christianise, and with them the Cumans, Kipchaks and Central Asians
That's cute. No, really. For this, run back about 600 years and have some guys like Cyril go nuts on the steppe. The Mongols were very religious, a fact often lost to many, and this motivated their conquests. Cracking into that is going to be impressive.

6. By modern day, large Christian minority in Iran and Christian majority in Central Asia
Ultimately tired to #5.

7. Larger Christian minority in China by the 20th century
That just depends on how the Colonization efforts go, and the Missionaries who go with. How aggressive are the Christians? How much do the Chinese really need their trade? Etc.

8. Christian majority in Kyushu, Japan
As with #7.

9. Larger Christian minority in India
As with #7.

Thanks for all help. I don't mind if things are a little impossible, but nothing ASB please. Thanks!!!

I was hoping for a much earlier POD.

My points all interlinked. If Tunisia (Or perhaps more) of North Africa is reconquered by Christians, Islamification of West Africa is preventable.

Christian minorities in China and India was meant to be with an earlier POD, not colonisation period.

What if Muhammad and Islam were a much less aggressive (not to cause offense, meaning more that Islamic conquest was a deliberate and systematic takeover) religious movement?

I don't know enough about Islam to make more suggestions, but my only thought is that if you stop/slow the Islamic conquest then the Christians have a better chance of doing the conquest first.
