Nazi stealth fighter / bomber

Yes, modern stealth is designed to defeat centimetre wave radars and can be detected by old decimetre and metre wave radars, and OTHB radars like our Jindalee. However once you detect them within a couple of miles do you then engage visually with guns and unguided rockets? At night?

The latest thing is bistatic radar with widely spaced transmitters and recievers, or building a composite picture using the shitty and usually discarded returns from a number of radars. You put shadows appearing on a bunch of radars together and you end up with a picture, so your F8 Crusader can fly out and gun it down.

With the exception of the modern stealth planes, none of the older planes were particular different to detection from above, below or the rear. And less radar-visible doesnt mean invisible, especially when illuminated by an interceptor on full power - the issue is getting that interceptor reasonably close, after all their radar sets were designed to burn through countermeasures, they were not exactly underpowered.
