Nazi-Soviet pact

Adi will probably not provoke the west by attacking Poland if Germany cannot get its "back free" long enough to sweep away the french.

The question is what happens if the USSR attacks Poland at that point, or if it even might launch a preemptive strike against Germany without straining logistics too much.

I honestly think, event will take a similar course, Stalin will still put pressure on the Baltic’s in order to ease Leningrad’s vulnerability ditto with Romania over Moldova.

Eastern Poland would wind up going to the Nazi's the USSR wont help Poland (nor would the Poles ask since. Stalin would want them to hand back the lands Poland annexed after the war in 1920).

It should be remembered that no-one thought the Nazi’s would beat France in six weeks Hitler victories in the west shocked the world, as far as the Kremlin know s it’s capitalist enemies will bleed each other white in another great war. It'd be easy for Stalin to justify Soviet neutrality in such a war. (Particularly in light of the Red Army’s poor state of readiness for a major war)

Hitler may have to station more forces in the east just in case the Soviets launch a sudden attack which could have profound implications in his war against France.
