OK, some reality for those unfamiliar with physics in the 1930's.
...
Now, the Germans have a number of insoluable problems.
They dont have access to a lot of good quality Uranium ore - although there was some in Chzekoslovakia.
They dont have the available electrical supplies to make heavy water and run the separation processes.
They dont have access to the high-purity carbon the allies did.
They very probably dont have PTFE either.
They also dont have the number of nuclear physicists the allies do, yet somehow they have to make progress at the same or better speed...
the lack of heavy water (D2O) was one of main reasion why the NAZI never got the A-bomb
the only source for Nazi was in Norway (one reasion for the invasion)
but British agents destroy the Factory in James Bond style
and sank a Boat with last cargo of D2O
(the D2O for Manhattan program came from Canada)
the Nazi used around $20 Billion for development of
V-1, V-2 Rocket, Jet fighter Me 262, Jetbomber, rocket interceptor Me 163 etc.
so the German A-bomb programs were under-funded
some of real A-bomb Programs in beginn WW2
"Uranverein" under Command of Reichsluftfahrtministerium
"Uranprojekt" of Heisenberg
A-bomb Project by Reichsbildungsministerium (Ministry of Education !)
Hydrogen bomb Program by the Heereswaffenamt
"clean hydrogen bomb" proposing by Burkhard Heim
For Uranium, in that time the only source for good quality Uran
was Belgium Kongo
the Uran for the Manhattan Project came from there
although there are still rumors, that extrem right belgians
supply Third Reich with Uranium from Belgium Kongo during WW2
i think thats only a Urban legend
