NATO doesn't get involved in either Bosnia or Kosovo

Say US gets stuck in Somalia or something else and doesn't intervene for whatever reason

How would this impact both the Bosnian and Kosovo wars

Could Bosna be devided between Serbs and Croats?

Kosovo? I think if Kosovars disn’t had hope for western intervention as they have seen in Bosna, KLA wouldn’t came to life or would be so small and insignificant local Serbian police would manage to keep them in bay. So there would be not Kosovo war.

I think too that Bosnia-Hertsegovina would had been divided between Croatia and Serbia and there would had been massive population transitions. And Kosovo would be still part of Serbia. Might be that there wouldn't be independent Montenegro. Would Serbia try conquer Macedonia?

Prebobably not. Yugoslavian army peacefully left Macedonia after their referendum and proclamation of independence. Macedonian was single republic of Yugoslavia which separayed without conflict.

Croatia gets the borders with Serbia of the old Croatia Banovina. Serbia/Yugoslavia gets (retains) the rest of Bosnia.

Is there a "reservation" for Muslims living in territory under Serbian or Croatian rule? Or is the Muslim community wiped out/expelled?

Might someone intervene on their own? Turkey, for instance?

Wouldn't as their no Serb population, however, they may try to ally with them against Albanians

Serbia has had claims to part of Macedonia in the past, even before Yugoslavia. Agree that they could view Albania as the bigger threat.

Turkey doesn't share borders with Yugoslavia. Greeks may be very sensitive about it.

They had but OTL Macedonia was only republic from which they withdraw without fight after Macedonian referendum and proclamation of independence.

I can guarantee that Turkey would have a major diplomatic incident over it at least, though. They’d let the Bosnians in as refugees if nothing else IMO.

In a world where Serbia gets what it wants everywhere else I could see it turning back to Macedonia in the long run.

Why though?

My guess is that Croatia manages it to gain a lot of Western (German) weapons like IOTL.

At first Serbia is able to realize its territorial ambitions in Crotia but they get to greedy in Bosnia and they are bogged down.

Crotia uses that to reconquer the territories it lost. Then they would probably intervene in Bosnia and would carve out territories there.

Think roughly this, but with some adjustments and Istria for Croatia under these circumstances:

I think we agree that Croatia would be the "big winner".

If they put the right spin on their narrative, they might even maintain a positive relationship with the West. Later EU membership and all.

Good contacts to Germany are even more valuable if no one intervenes. Once they have the core of a professional army, Bosnia will have drained the Serbs enough, so that modern western weapons will be sufficient to decisivly crush Serbish militias and the Yugoslavian army.

Bosnia would be the big loser, Serbia and Croatia would be able to realize whatever claim they have.

Serbia would be locked in an ongoing power struggle with Croatia. Once Russia gets stronger they could seriously support the Serbs, but ITTL I honestly doubt that this would be enough to bridge the Croatian headstart.

THe borders would stabilize, and there would likely be some population transfers. Not ideal, certainly, but realistic.
