Nationalism kicks out Vichy & Germans from Africa

What if, in 1941/1942, the Vichy and their German masters are kicked out of North Africa (Morocco, Tunis, Algeria) by nationalists, Jews, and anyone else who wants to help kick out the Vichy.


edit: in hindsight, I realize "nationalists" is not the right word...what is? what includes the King of Morocco, the religious authorities of Algiers, the Bey of Tunis, the Jews of North Africa (those native & those who moved/were moved from Europe),...and possibly members of the Free French, British and American armies?

I'm sure they'd find something else to furnish the conflict that propells the three main characters through the film. (but I could be wrong)
