Nationalism in post-WW2 Spain

Hey Guys,

Let's say that in WW2 Spain joins the Axis, the Allies invade Spain and, with the help of a revised Republican rebel force, defeat Franco. As well as the Republicans nationalist rebellions spring up in Catalonia and Basque and declare independent states.

So, in post-war Spain, how would these areas be treated? Would the independent states be recognised? Or would the Allies recognise the Republican claims on the areas?

Unless the Republicans are Communists or an other form left-wing extremists, I doubt that there would be any independence, Spain might be like Italy a centralised government at first with more power to the regions later.

No way, they would be treated like autonomies, has it was before 1939. Perhaps with lesser form of self-government then they previously had and some cultural rights. The plans for the autonomies of Andalusia and Galicia would be placed on definitive hold until extreme nationalist revival is put under control.
