I'm no expert at map making, obviously my maps aren't something worth mentioning in term of sophistication. However, I'm rather attached to the first map I made after learning to use Paint.net so I decided to build it in detail. I'm partly inspired by this thread by @TemporalRenegade which started with:

As you may know, I like alternate history scenarios characterized by relatively larger states that are fewer in number. I prefer worlds with a few large and very stable nations and/or empires to ones with many feuding empires and the various pissant pseudo-countries they use as playing pieces. I am progressive at heart, but I prefer rational progress to the random upheavals followed by reactionary periods that characterized, for instance OTL.

Personally I have the same preference. A multi-polar world in which the Vienna balance of power is maintained will probably give birth to a far more prosperous and technologically advanced future, though at the expense of political and social progress. As stated by:

Napoleon becoming emperor was indicative of the fact that the French Revolution had failed, insofar as instituting republicanism was concerned.

Such contradiction motivated me to mold this timeline into one of irony: a French victory that ultimately strengthened the monarchies and imperialism, hence the name "Napoleon's Age of Empires". But I must admit I also have a "rosy" view as TemporalRenegade, so the course of this timeline would eventually lead the world to a much better outcome compared to ours. Please expect that there are many implausible events, though not to the level of ASB I believe.

With that said, the POD happened in 1801, when Napoleon dreamed of the future Battle of Friedland. In the OTL, the battlefield was described to be so horrific that even Napoleon himself broke down in tears. Although he didn't remember how the events unfolded, the emotion Napoleon experienced in his dream was so vivid and clear that it completely changed his perspectives on peace and power. He then ordered Talleyrand to come up with satisfying terms for the Brits. The ATL Treaty of Amiens could be seen as one of the most important treaties that single-handedly changed the world forever.

Once peace with Britain was confirmed, Napoleon started to consolidate his gains in Central Europe in a much subtle way to avoid angering Britain. This move worried Prussia, Austria and Russia as OTL so they still declared war on him and got defeated. Believing that dividing the 3 Black Eagles would be more beneficial in the long run, Napoleon gave Silesia back to Austria, while allowing Russia to annex all of Poland. At the same time, he signed a secret agreement with Austria and Russia, giving them a free hand to deal with the Ottomans in the Balkans. The resulting War against the Turks is one of the greatest geopolitical events of the world as the defeat of the Ottoman Empire left a power vacuum in Southern Europe. This, in turn, shattered the Austro-Russian Alliance and divided Europe into 4 main powerful blocs.

Hey, uh...
Why is the Papacy occupying the Old Northwest?

Napoleon did not want to annex the Papal territories into his Empire as OTL to avoid complicating things religiously. He did distribute parts of them to Italy though.

Oh I'm sorry, maybe the colors are a bit too similar but that indicated native rebellions. As the USA is not as strong as their OTL counterpart, the natives are still restless.
I thought so, yeah. I selected the colors and stuff on PDN and it said the Native color was the same as the Vatican's.

Truth is that I blended different color schemes into this map so even I don't remember which one I used for the Natives lol.
