Napoleon wins! What happens to Tipu Sultan, and Mysore?

Since Napoleon did have some contact with the Tipu Sultan, I was wondering what would happen to the Mysore Sultanate, and Tipu Sultan in a Napoleonic victory.

In what year? Tipu Sultan was defeated in 1799. Can Napoleon achieve a victory by then, enough to save him? I doubt it. Napoleon had no power over France when Tipu Sultan was defeated.

Nappy has barely dipped his toe in the Nile. You'd need a pretty extensive POD to make this work; combining a delayed British campaign against Mysore while basically butterflying away the entire Near Eastern campaign of the War of the 2nd Cohalition. Maybe Talleyrand is actually honest in his intentions to merely subdue the autonomy of the Mamalukes to restore direct Ottoman authority in exchange for the Turks shipping the French Army of the Orient to India (Not that such an operation is actually feesable and is likely to blow up in both France and the Ottoman's faces, which prevents the Napoleon Victorious prerequisite.)

Nappy conquering India is Unmentionable Sea Mammal.

I like the idea. But if the British find out about it the Ottoman fleet in the Indian Ocean will be beaten up by the EIC. If there is one...

However... Selim III reputation will be tarnished for letting the 'infidel fight against his religious kin'. It is like giving the Janissaries more reasons to revolt.

It's unlikely to actually pursued or result in a victory, but it's really the only viable route I can see for Napoleon to even physically reach India before Tipu falls

Tipu Sultan was dead by 1799. Even if the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War is delayed, I don't really see how Napoleon can offer any assistance to Mysore, considering Mauritius (or Ile de France, as it was known) was highly vulnerable to British attack and surely any sort of fleet being gathered there would result in its occupation.

I think you really need a Third Anglo-Mysore War POD to preserve Mysorean independence, and then for the country to somehow retain neutrality during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Perhaps have Britain have its hands full with the Maratha Empire?

Tipu probably would be attacked and defeated by Nizam and Marathas even if the English left him alone

That... may be but with the EIC it became too much. With the Marathas and Nizam only it might not be a total defeat.

Regardless of all, Tippu can not be helped by France unless France has more stronger position in India.
