A young German nationalist Fredrich Staps tried to assassinate Napoloen in October 1809 after the treaty of Schönbrunn, but was apprehended before he could get close enough.
What if he managed to stab Napoleon and kill him? What would it mean for France and Austria? Or for German nationalism for that matter?
