Naming a Saxon Kingdom in Britain

I've been thinking about a split between the main tribes of the Germanics in Britain.
Essentially both Mercia and Wessex are stillborn/delayed so that there is a a consolidation of Angles in the north and Saxons & Jutes in the south.

Naming the northern Kingdom is fairly easy as a title King of the Angles (Cyning Engla, Rex Angliorum etc) can eventually become King of England (Cyning Engleland, Rex Angliae etc).
But what do we call the south?
I can see the title King of the Saxons and Jutes but what would be the latter one?

Jutland would be a contender for a Jute kingdom.

The Saxon kingdoms would remain West Saxon (Wessex), South Saxon (Sussex) and East Saxon (Essex) I assume that we may have a North Saxon (Norsex) if Mercia come into being.

Not really. Kent is the only Jutish Kingdom. THe other Jutish settlements were absorbed OTL into the growing Sussex and Gewisse (the later Wessex).
While ATL I can see them surviving longer as Wessex is delayed from expanding so early they, and I'm suggesint Kent too, get absorbed into the "Kingdom of Saxons & Jutes"

Mercia was a predominant Anglian Kingdom with outlying Saxon "vassals".
It's the main reason everyone was absorbed under the Anglecynn label OTL.
TTL Mercia doesn't form, though West Anglia and Middle Anglia are likely.
While no Norsex the Middlesex will be stronger.

I which language are we rendering the latter day form of the Kingdom of Saxons? Perhaps in the latin-based languages it becomes something like Saxonia?

The Isle of Wight was a separate Jutish kingdom.

Yes you're right. I dind't realise how long it lasted as independent kingship. That said I missed the word "left by 700s" off my phrasing :D

Ideally something easily Anglified if you're doing a modern rendering of ATL Kentish or whatever :D

Would the Latin scribes use Saxonia if that is used for the HRE duchy?
That's one of the things I'd like so thoughts and consensus on!

Clearly, since we have otl Sussex, Essex, Wessex, Middlesex, the whole of saxon lands would be simply Sex. Demonym "sexy", as in 'I'm Sexy and I know it', the Sexy national anthem. (Sexy cognate with modern german sächsig=Saxon).

A northern province that is regularly fought over might be norsex, but given the amount of elision in the otl examples, its as likely to be nosex. So both sides go into battle proclaiming they want nosex. :);)p)

I agree, strictly speaking with all the -sex's about it'd be Sexland....but the name can and will become embarrassing. I vote self-aware Saxons simply call it Saxland.

(good point on Norsex becoming Nosex, Dathi. Tho' I feel it'd be pronounced 'Naw-sex'...)
