Names for a Napoleonic Belarus?

Say that things go much better for Napoleon in his wars and he establishes a stable new arrangement in the east, including 'promoting' the Duchy of Warsaw into a Kingdom of Poland and establishing an independent Belarus as a further check on Russian recovery. Aside from Belarus/Belorussia/etc, what might it be called? Ruthenia?

Ruthenia works, it could also be named after major cities, as many small states were. Two ancient Belarussian states were named in this fashion: the principalities of Turov & Polotsk. There's not a lot of other alternate names for Belarus. White Russia works, but that's just a translation.

The duchy of Minsk?

I'm thinking Duchy of Minsk or Duchy of Ruthenia at the moment.

Thanks, both of you!

Those sound excellent. I'd advise you to go with Minsk, since Ruthenia can be used to refer to Carpathian Ruthenia as well. Just to avoid confusion.
I mean the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia didn't include Westphalia. The confusion is a point in favor.

Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Might raise it to a kingdom. Tag along Lithuania proper and you have resurrected one of the largest entities in european history.

It’s possible but then Napoléon would have to stop hinting to the poles that he would restore the pre partition borders which could be seen as a betrayal and deprive him of a lot of potential manpower.

Ever heard of the Union of Lublin? Nothing but Napoleon to stop it from being reaffirmed, if it has come this far already.

But this is ASB, there was no Belarussian nation during the times of Napoleon, the nobility was 100% Polish and Poles would be pissed off because it was Polish land in their eyes (not only in their, even tsar Alexander gave sort of unofficial autonomy to Polish nobility from this land).
