I'm of course fully aware that the British Isles had been largely Christianized by the time of the Viking Age, that the Vikings in turn were Christianized during their conquests and during the Christianization of Scandinavia itself.
But in an alternate world, there is no Christianity in the British Isles all the way leading up to the Viking Age. I know, butterflies, priestly missions from Gaul, not very likely to happen. But put that aside, because I want to ask about how much the British (Pictish + Welsh) and Gaelic pantheons could intermix with the Norse pantheon and syncretize.

- Could the Valkyries merge their distinct mantles with the Morrigan of Ireland?
- Could the various Underworlds come together?
- Would the likes of Mannan Mac Lir be seen as a son of Aegir rather than Lir?
