Ok, so I've done quite a lot of reading and although I've met neither Hitler nor Stalin personally, I've got some ideas of what their screwed personalities are like and I would like to see if anyone concurs with me and perhaps open a discussion. Although I'm not a psychiatrist or psychologist, I've also looked into personality disorders and I've come to the conclusion that Hitler had a narcissistic personality disorder while Stalin had a paranoid personality disorder. Just think of it for a second; here is a list of symptoms for both:
paranoid personality disorder:
narcissistic personality disorder
What are you opinions on the matter. Are there any people on this board who are psychologists/psychiatrists IRL? Feel free to debate how these two got the personalities that are now ascribed to them, namely those of monstrous genocidal murderers and how and why they differed.

- a combative and tenacious sense of personal rights out of keeping with the actual situation;
- recurrent suspicions, without justification, regarding sexual fidelity of spouse or sexual partner;
- tendency to experience excessive self-importance, manifest in a persistent self-referential attitude;
- preoccupation with unsubstantiated "conspiratorial" explanations of events both immediate to the patient and in the world at large.
- expansive paranoid, fanatic, querulant and sensitive paranoid personality (disorder)
