I'm inclined to, after a few more updates, take a hiatus from my ongoing TL, Let Us Strive, and doing to look at a shorter project closer to the present. These are some ideas I've been bantering around, none of them titled as of yet...

Martin Luther King Jr isn't hit -- PoD is that fateful day in April 1968; also sees a more successful Poverty Campaign; Charelton Heston with a very successful political career; a different path for Francis Ford Coppola; a stronger religious left; and a less successful Nixon.

RFK Survives -- Yes it's been done to death, but ITTL, Kennedy has a rougher time getting re-elected than is seen in others. Space plays a prominent role as well. (TBC, I certainly don't expect to match RB on the subject...)

Ford Wins 76 -- PoD is actually earlier. Energy policy plays a prominent role, and may even be the focus.

Milk isn't shot -- PoD is after Moscone's assassination, with White being stopped before he can kill Milk. Implications in California politics, the gay rights movement, the AIDS epidemic, and more...

Tarantino Directs True Romance -- Includes different careers for Tarantino, Oliver Stone, Harrison Ford, and Will Smith; Letterman getting the Tonight Show, and President John McCain.

Then there's a couple of TL's running in my mind with Democratic Aughts -- one, where the 22nd Amendment doesn't pass, leading to Clinton winning a third term in 2000, another with Gore squeaking into the White House. (For the purpose of the poll, I'm putting them as the same option)

So what's your thought?
