A dynastic marriage of two countries
Laila Mechanai of Sulu becomes a second wife of Lakan Gambang of Tondo Dynasty and his young daughter from his previous wife, Dayang Kaylangitan marries the future Sultan of Sulu, Muizul-Mutawadi-in in order to secure an allegiance with Sulu and Tondo because of that Laila Mechanai becomes a Buddhist while Dayang Kaylangitan becomes a muslim because of her marriage to the Sultan of Sulu, after the marriage Laila Mechanai becomes pregnant instantly bearing a male heir to the Tondo Dynasty named Jayadewa, Brunei is threatening to invade Tondo and Sulu and turn it to their territory,so they ally with Malacca, Brunei tries to invade Sulu and had already occupied by Bruneians and it’s ruler Muizul-Mutawadi-in goes to Malacca to ask for help and armies from Malacca stormed Borneo, destroying the rising power of Brunei, Lakan Jayadewa II married a Burmese princess and lived a long life and managed to sire a heir named Jayadewa III, Jayadewa II was known for his strong will and will to survive and reform his Empire and encouraged the building of Buddhist temples in his domains including the remote areas of the Island of Manila.
Difficulty in the East Indies
Sharif Muhammad Kabungsuan, a Malay from Johor marries a Mindanaoan noble woman and becomes the Sultan of Maguindanao, he preached Islam in the mainland Mindanao and he defeated the Spanish conquistadors who attempted to conquer Mindanao.
Lapu-Lapu’s troops defeated Magellan and the rulers of Butuan and Cebu were easily convinced by the Spanish to be governed by them and recognize the Spanish King, Juan of Asturias as their ruler, Jayadewa II and Muizul-Mutawadi-in II knew about these changes and the ruler of Maguindanao knew also of this so they decided to guard their borders and strengthen their trade restrictions and they strengthened their relations with Malacca and China and in this time the Chinese immigrants to South East Asia increased changing the genetic composition of South East Asia.
Jayadewa II had Jayadewa III marry a korean noble woman in 1550, which was to improve the relationship of Joseon of Yi Hwan and Tondo of Jayadewa II, Visayas was completely subjugated by the Spanish in the expedition of Miguel Lopez de Legaspi even if Lapulapu defeated Magellan, Jayadewa II created a fiefdom in the south of Manila with Limahong as the ruler to create a buffer state called Batangan in the Southern part of the Island of Manila.
