What if a major disaster has happened at Jutland? Planning timeline in advance. Whilst unlikely, I'm exploring the effects to counter the German victory at Jutland thread.Given the statistics of the naval forces, a loss ratio of 1 German ship for 2 British and both sides fighting to the very end would indicate such a scenario.
Of course, a German victory at Jutland and both sides fighting until either side or both run out of ships to fight or roughly [less than 10 survivors from a fleet or both] would require a loss ratio higher than 2:3 for the Germans and to be safer [or not pyrrhic] at least 1:2. A loss ratio of 3 British ships to 2 German and both sides fighting to the very end is much closer to mutual annihilation of both navies in a single day.
A loss ratio of 1:1.5 [Germans to British] and both sides fighting to the very end probably gets approximately:
20 German battleships [15 dreadnought and 5 pre dreadnought] sunk for 25 British battleships.
5 German battle cruisers for destroying every British battle cruiser.
Every [or virtually] light cruiser engaged lost and [if the British destroyers are annihilated as well] at least about 50 GTB for the Germans.
[Probably] HMS Engadine is also lost in such circumstances.
