Music pop culture had Buddy Holly and the Big Bopper not died and Elvis not drafted?

  1. Let's say Elvis avoids reporting for army duty in 1958 and the following year Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper and Richie Vallens don't go down in an airplane crash.

Both of those moments have been noted as being responsible for the end of first generation of Rock & Roll before it became revitalized again in the early/mid 60's with the British invasion.

What would would happen to music, would the British invasion still happen would the Golden Age of Rock & Roll last well into the 60's?

Well My Father would not have the respect for Elvis that he has now.
The only reason Dad likes Elvis is because he meet him when they were both in Germany with the US Army.

Also there never be the Play "Bye Bye Birdie" so there no movie and no TV Special a few years ago.
The Play was based on Elvis going in to the army.
No songs "Kids" "A whole lot of living to do" or "Put on a Happy Face"
