Movies that should've been in 3D...

...just spitballing here, but lets say that viable 3D technology like we have today was available 10 years ago.

Which films would have been released in 3D, and which one would you want to see released in that format?

I'll get the ball rolling: definitely Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. That's a 3D movie if there ever was one. The film's vibe and story just beg to be put into a theatre where the pictures are jumping out at you and the seats are wired to give you electric shocks when there's big explosions.

Finding nemo, and the league of extraordinary gentleman

I never thought about that!

Just about every Pixar one would be freaking mind blowing!

Seeing Buzz and Woody ride down the street on the remote control car in Toy Story would be awesome!

You know something, Inception should have been in 3D, I know it wouldn't require an ATL with earlier 3d capabilities, but I really think that it would have been really something to see in stereo.

now if you wanted to goback even further then I give you Ben Hur (Chariot race popping out of the screen) and Dambusters....

Oh and what about any porn film......

AFAIK, Nolan was begged by the studio to at least let "Inception" being put throught the computer-mill, but refused to do so. Apparently, his personal vision of the movie was not in 3D.

Personally, I would like to add Lord of the Rings as well as Titanic to the list. Going further back - Indiana Jones.

Maybe Gettysburg. :)

I've had that thought as well. I respect Nolan for not shooting in 3D, as I'm sure there was considerable pressure in the wake of Avatar, but Ariadne folding up the Paris street and the hallway fight would have been very impressive in 3D.
