Movie proposal - Kaiserreich: The Second American Civil War

What about a Hollywood movie based on the events of Kaiserreich: The Second American Civil War

Tell me about the scenario, the scenes and the actors you want to see

First of All if you want to do something similar to kaiserreich I feel the intense lore would best fit a television series

But if we were to cast a movie
a fun out of luck protagonist type like

Nick Zano could preform quire well perhaps as a sort of scholar among fellow rebels in the CSA a protagonist by the name of Eddie Zimmerman a Jewish sergeant fighting in Indianapolis with a friend by the name of Jason Oreily (played by Sam Witwer) together they work to solve a plot amongst Facist rebels in the heartland of the CSA for the first 10 episode when in the Tenth they find themselves sent to the Front in Georgia meeting sergeant Emily Fitzgerald played by Jenna Coleman wherein they push the front towards the south with the help of commander Ronald Reagan played by Chris Hemsworth the overrall theme of the story would be about the greyness of war and the trauma and attitudes towards veterans of the time

It'd probably have a bit of a dieselpunk edge to it, with each faction pumping out weird armored cars, planes and gunboats etc., duking it out in the Plains and the Appalachians... I think a crossover between Kaiserreich and Crimson Skies would work rather well, actually

Mine would be a CSA victory and a monument to the glory of the American worker. Starting with a brief look at the gutted America of KR 1936, then Reed's surprise victory, Long's revolt and MacArthur's coup, and the brutal conflict as the workers of America try to take back their country. End bittersweet; the Syndicalists win and found a new, socialist America with strict protections on the franchise and poll taxes banned, and institute full equal rights for Native Americans, women, and black people, but there are a hundred thousand dead including some of the protagonists and the British-in-exile plot the end of the new America.

It would probably have to be named something other than Kaiserreich, and not have the imperial German eagle logo, to not raise eyebrows among the average historically uninformed viewer.

I think a better Idea would be a tv series, that way we could explore multiple charecters and all the stories across the world without cluttering it all into one to three hours.

If we were to focus on a simple movie I would actually make it a trilogy on the American Civil war, the first movie sets the scene with the horrible depression and the fractured political situation with the focus being on the lead up to the civil war with perspectives from a US army Captain who is in on the plots to pull a coup to save the country from collapse and radicalism, A trade union activist working with the Urban poor organize into Unions for mutal protection and perpare for the revolution which would overthrow the entire class structure and establish equality for all, and finally a congressional aide to Huey Long, who Idealistically belives that Long can save the country with his Share our wealth progam. We each fowllow them as they help further the train of history as it plunges their country into the abyss. The climax happens with the civil war kicking off with everyone doing...questionable acts (the US army Captain killing off a Red prisoner who cheerfully admit to being part of a lynch mob which killed the captains father, a bank manager, The union activist stealing all the wealth from a rich family and distributing it to the people (incidentally leaving the Rich family absolutely pennyless and on the streets), and finally the aide to Long making a deal with the Klan to help relive a Fedralist encirclment of AUS troops. the story then looks to the next movie as it is made clear that the war is not even close to over and that millions will die in the years to come.

so yeah what do you guys think? As you can see I would endaevor to preserve the moral grayness of the issues and make it so you can see why these people belive in their causes: for example you will have a scene where the Army major stops a gang from beating on a normal guy who they accuse of stealing their job (which the law and enforcement cant and won't do because they are overstreched and they dont have enough money to pay the officers) and you would having touching moments from his caring but abit out of touch banker father. From the Red perspective you would see Strike breakers beating workers who don't like the status quo and we would contrast the poor over crowded slums with a show of all the wealth which is flowing to the fat cats. The aide will show you how Long has benifited the people of Louisiana with his Share the Wealth progams and you get to see the more human aspects of his eccentric boss (among which are that he genuinelly belives hes doing good and has great disdain for Racism).

I'd suggest renaming the Combined Syndicates of America. I doubt a general audience would warm up to the acronym "CSA" unless they were depicted as the antagonistic force.
