Vedic religions, in my terminology refers to the religions that come from the theology of the Early Ancient Indian books of the Vedas, which along with others, form the basis of Hinduism and has a huge part in Buddhism, too.
The origin of the Vedas is traced to Semi-Nomadic pastoral tribes called the Aryans and were composed in what's today Punjab(called then as Saptha Sindhu) Northern parts of Pakistan, and Eastern Afghanistan (called collectively then as Gandhara), shortly after the tribes first settled.
The original books have had many derivatives and commentaries and today, the later developments have overshadowed the original Vedic literature, just to mention.
In an Alternative World, I would like to see how a Vedic influenced religions would originate and spread towards the other directions(West, towards Bactria and Persia and North, towards Central Asia and then to other parts, if possible, like Siberia or China).
You have the freedom to develop the theology however you want, create syncretism as you wish but keep the Vedic influence intact.
