More successful fascist movements after WWI

New influence based on the DBWI thread below: how could there have been more successful fascist movements in the neutral European countries during the 1920s, in addition to Germany & Italy ? Say, WI the Rexists in Belgium, plus similar parties in the Netherlands & Scandanavia, came to power before 1939 ?

Well France is the biggest possibility I think. If say, the Kapp Putsch was successful and Germany wen nationalist much earlier the French would feel great pressure. They may go facist.

Well, they were pretty big in Eastern Europe. Doesn't take much to make them come out on top. In RL, these traditional rightwing dicatorships in Eastern Europe had more balls than the conservatives in Germany Italy, and they squashed these fascist movements like bugs. However, if we posit more disunity amongst the traditional elites, then more Eastern European countries could've been fascist. I think the liberal roots too strong and the grievances too minor for France to go Fascist (compared to Germany and the crap that got shit on them). In general, it would've taken a perfect storm of extraordinary circumstances for a Western European countries to go fascist. And only in Germany, thanks to losing WWI and getting shafted at the peace conference, had the requisite set of circumstances to create the perfect storm.

Maybe if you had an earlier influx of immigrants to France from North Africa? Maybe through slack liberal policies?
Or a better/subtler use of propoganda to sway liberal elements?
If you're a really struggling you could always throw in a false flag attack, an alleged Soviet massacre in India might even work for Britain.

It seems to me that the facist creed was inevitably going to come into conflict militariy with either the communists or the capitalist world.
Therefore the fortunes of facism until the advent of the internet (which may begin to erode its stranglehold by unnofocially giving the underground momvements greater freedom of expression - i.e. there will always be hackers getting round government blocks) are irrevocably tied with the militaristic fortunes
Facism was popular and was internally stable as dissent was either non-existennt or culled
therefore you would basically need facism to survive a world war (if not germany being facist, then some other nation, in simelar circumstances.)
it was capitalist and communist 'de-nazification' that brought down its remnents of facism in Europe, then then was replaced by the greedy capitalist, oppresive commie predicament that we so lovingly know as the cold war...

so to make it survive, you'd need to make all facist powers into massive superpowers and have larger strategic support bases (accross the world) so they win the wecond world war by a large margin, without the economimy collapsing (as what usually plaged government - such a sthe girondin government of the 1st republic) or simply stop the communist revolution in russia. which would be hard because facism was brought about by WW1 just as much. (it was ahark back to the kaiser reich, so you would need to eliminate the kaiserreich from the equasion.) So germany would need to be defeated in WW1 in or before 1916, so the tsar can survive an attempted coup and possibly give consessions (again supposing the tsar would give in to democratic demands) and the bolsheviks dont come to eminence.

if it appears in any other nation than germany, it would be in an even more disadvantagous position, as due to the econimic and social climate in germany at that time, facism found a place with the cuorrect conditions it needed to flourish and get as far as it did.

it was either germany and italy or nothing. any extra facist powers wouldnt have really added anyhting to the overall success of facism

So basically, quite hard...
