More Natural Nuclear Reactors

A While Ago, their was discovered an odd phenomna in Gabon, that several million years ago, a natural nuclear reactor of sorts existed in that area. What if these "Natural" nuclear reactors where much more common. Including some still functional to this day. Yes, this would possible include Plutonium being an element found in nature.

Not millions, billions. The problem is that U238 has a half-life of 4.5 billion years and U235 has a half-life of 700 million. So 2 billion years ago (the time of the Gabon reactors), U235 was enriched not quite 8 fold - so say 5%, which is a higher level of enrichment than US boiling light water power reactors today.

So either you have to change the laws of physics or create massively higher levels of U235 in the origianl solar system or ...
