More Loyal and Better Armed Axis Vichy French

I was just wondering if there is a way to have the Vichy French fight more loyally for the Axis against the Allies. I was thinking something along the lines of constant British "Betrayals" and the fact many of the Officers were more Anti-British than Anti-German after Syria, also the War in Africa goes longer so there is no invasion of French North Afruca and what could semi-loyal French forces to for the Africa Theater.

Somehow avoiding the Free French as being seen a legitimate french Government proxy. In the beginnings (after the fall of France) de Gaulle had to pull quite some diplomatic strings to get recognition (for example originally the US viewed Vichy as the legitimate French government and didn't pay much attention to some evacuated general)

Plus not re-annexing Alsace-Lorraine would have kept the relations better.

And keeping the occupied territories smaller thus making the part of France controlled by Vichy larger, especially and unoccupied Paris might do wonders (if that's militarily feasible)

If there is no German DOW on the Americans could the Vichy government be seen as the real government for much longer.

What about a West Berlin east Berlin type thing with Paris. With the Vichy government controlling one half and the Germans controlling the Other.

Alsace Lorraine might have to stay with the Germans. Because the firs POD is in 41.
