Since this seems to be a bit of a theme in the forum at the moment, I thought I'd address the whole issue. Western media to me seems somewhat prudish, with the laws that require them to dance around topics like sex. Granted, I only have my experiences in the US and the UK to go off of, but I'd assume that things are similar in other countries. What would things be like in the West if media was less prudish and more liberal (as in, broad-minded)?
For example, let's say that nudity on TV shows is common, as is the belief that things should be portrayed as they are, which includes people having sexual relations. Or that the movie rating system is more lax or doesn't exist at all, so that movies are more liberal as well?
Would this eventually mean that people would become more accustomed to being more open to sex, drugs, etc.? Would this have a knock-on effect on society as a whole, i.e. nude beaches in the USA? Assuming that conservative groups exist in this TL and that they protest against this trend, would they hold as much credence as they do in OTL?
