Who was more influential in history: Julius Caesar or Oliver Cromwell?
Caesar: Conquered Gaul for Rome, struck up an alliance with Egypt, consolidated power after the defeat of Pompey which ultimately ensued the formation of the Roman Empire.
Cromwell: Defeated Charles I, the absolute monarch. Ruled Britain for 5 years as a Puritan before dying and having an inept son take over which led to the restoration of the monarchy. Paved the way for the loss of absolute monarchy in the UK.
