I've seen a lot of threads recently about such-and-such putting their lot in with the North or South where OTL they did the opposite. Grant going South, Lee North, Kentucky South, Gorgas North, even Lincoln South.
So being the Southerner that I am, I decided to make a thread about giving the South all these things that have come up that I've seen. Which is for this thread, Lincoln, Grant, McClellan, and the state of Kentucky.
So, to get this started, I'll accept the PoD from robertp6165's timeline, Go South, Young Man, as to how to get Lincoln as president of the future CSA. We then have a PoD offered by Snake Featherston's timeline, The Winds of Fate, for Grant being a Confederate General. McClellan is easy enough, he's just convinced to go with the South. And we can just have Kentucky go as one of the border states which secede later.
So, how in the world does the Civil War play out now? Any ideas?
