More Confederate cross-border raids from Canada during ACW

So WI more such Confederate cross-border raids had been launched from canada into northern NE & other bordering areas of the Union ? CouldBritish acquiescenece to such raids have had the same imp[act as the Trent affair, poss leading to the Union's bluecoats crossing swords with Her Majesty's soldiers in Canada ?

possibly

If they had been both more ambitious and lucky. Some big wrench thrown into the war or political machines. Setting fire to a factory or muntions dump. Damaging train tracks, etc.... From what I recall they were mostly an annoyance but they had some bigger plans that just hadn't worked due to lack of resources.

Best case scenarios(from the perspective of the confederates) is that they will actively chase down the confederate agents across the border and get into a shootout with Canadian forces. Mostly likely scenario is that they will make demands to Great Britain to stop harboring criminals which Britain will more than likely agree to but put no real effort into it.
