Mongols converts to Eastern Orthodoxy

Altan Khan was the Khan of the Tümed, who eventually lead the Mongols turn to Tibetan Buddhism. Assuming Altan Khan somehow comes in contact with Russian Orthodox or even Greek Orthodox clergy and decides to convert to Christianity. Would it have the same lasting results like his conversion to Buddhism? Or will the Mongols resist this?

Off topic: I am lately interested in post-Yuan Turkic, Mongol and Manchu history in Central and Eastern Asia. Preferably between 1368-1757. If people know books about this era, feel free to tell...

Probably the mongols will convert to eastern ortodoxy, the tengri (religion of the mongols) is a pre-axial age religion, when an axial age religion can convert the high class of a nation whose religion is pre-axial age, generally the conversion of the population is very fast, then, yes, the mongols will not resist
