Mongolian Nestorian Orthodox Church

I was thinking of a way to deculturalize the northern chinese and turn them into Mongolian/Manchurian speaking instead of mass killing the chinese like Temujin wanted, someone in this forums suggested that a religion can destroy or at least marginalize the Chinese culture, can a Mongolian Nestorian Christian sect destroy or marginalize the culture of the Northern Chinese.

There were certainly Christian sects operating within the Mongolian sphere at the time in question, specifically the Nestorians had been converting Mongols since the 7th century. The Keraits, Merkits, etc., had large Christian beliefs. So the possiblity of Mongols adapting a Christian, i.e. Nestorian belief system would be good, especially if Genghis Khan were to convert to Nestorianism from his shamanism. But the next part of the question is more difficult: can such a movement destroy the culture of the Northern Chinese. Destroy might be a strong word. Supplant, possibly, Influence, probably. Interesting idea.

Yep, I think one of the sons or grandsons of Genghis Khan can convert to Nestorianism
Thanks, I rephrased the original post "to destroy or marginalize" rather than just "destroy".
