Mongol Java

Since some one thought it might be a neat idea.

In 1294, Kublai Khan dispatched a fleet to Java. Let's suppose he takes the island.

Now what?

Okay, life for southern Chinese was not exactly pleasant under the Khna; I can imagine plenty of them moving to Java if given the chance. This may have implications when the Yuan falls.

But I suspect there's more going on than just this...

I think I've stated anything about this in this thread, but I think I'll explain about it again here.

Let's assume that this vulnerable Yuan army doesn't meet the fate they suffered IOTL, maybe by having someone who doesn't like alcohol after winning a battle or something. Then I suppose we'd see a short period of Yuan rule in Java (more accurately: Eastern Java). This will certainly prevent any powerhouse of the region (South East Asia) being established there by the Majapahit, or Javanese in general. Consequently this would give the Islamic Kingdom of Samudra Pasai (which was conquered by Majapahit IOTL) a reasonably longer life span ITTL than IOTL. Eventually, Samudra Pasai is now the strongest native entity in South East Asia. They can use this chance to dominate Nusantara, at the very least Western part of Nusantara, for the start. Consequently such thing will result to a different future of South east Asia, and later, the world as whole eventually. :)
