Their was one IOTL, namely the Kalmyk state, which eventualy was folded into the Russian Empire and the remainder of which today from the Russian Republic of Kalmykia, which resultingly happens to be the only majority Buddhist region in Europe.

I find it hard to believe the Monglonai would focus on Hungary during their conquest of Earth. It is sparsely populated, and is not a center of transportation or communication networks. Also I believe that the Magyar Humanist Front would be very willing to use terrorism and other suicidal acts against the Monglonai. The Monglonai have proven that they are willing to use their Neutron bombs against radical Humanists in the past, so I predict a Monglonai Hungary would be a human-free habitation zone in a mattter of months.
