Monarchy in the Americas Circa 1880s

I'm considering writing a timeline about a fictional European-settled nation in the Caribbean that achieves independence in 1888. One of my ideas is to have some European prince or princess move to the country to become its first king or queen. My question is how to find a suitable candidate for this new monarch.

The island nation is primarily Anglophone if that helps.

Prince Henry of Prussia, son of Frederick III?

So, a monarch in Jamaica?

Pity though, even if cliche, Canada needs to become a monarchy sometime.:p

If you’re looking for a homeless royal that speaks English in that period, and it’s basically all-bets-are-off ASB fun time, how about a surviving Napoléon IV?

some princes that I consider interesting=
1- Prince Frederick of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen
2- Prince Willian of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen
3- Prince Karl Anton of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen
4- Count Adalbert of Lippe-Biesterfeld
5- Count Leopold of Lippe-Biesterfeld
6- Count Friedrich of Lippe-Biesterfeld
7- Prince Friedrich Wilhelm of Lippe-Biesterfeld
8- Prince Edward of Anhalt
9- Prince Hermann of Schaumburg-Lippe
10- Prince Otto Heinrich of Schaumburg-Lippe
11- Friedrich Ferdinand of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg
12- Prince Heinrich of Hesse and by Rhine
13- Prince Wilhelm of Hesse and by Rhine
I believe that such princes would be very interesting since they had secondary roles in smaller German houses - I do not think that offering a throne in America for Henry of Prussia was a good option, although he was a person I do not see why he would leave Berlin to take a throne on land unknown, something a poorer or less important prince would certainly do willingly in return to become King

Maybe a son of Queen Victoria, specifically Prince Arthur?

Unless this island is virulently anti-English or something this seems like a good option considering the island is Anglophone. In the 1880's he's got extensive military and administrative experience and based on his time in Canada up to that point was a remarkably popular fellow. Unless he's always wanted to be king of something he may not be interested though as he's clearly in an upward trajectory in 1880.

Danish West India settled by even more Anglosphere people ? Denmark reacts with sanctions, promoting a more Danish West India, trys to ban British settlers . Results in an adventurous filibuster like coup of Anglosphere privateers to install a monarchy against the Danish crown? Independance is declared from Copenhagen.
