MKULTRA succeeds?

Lets say that the CIA manages to develop some sort of intense brainwashing process, that allows them to control anyone who undergoes it. Any kind of mind control-rays, or water additives is not ging to happen though. What kind of people would they use it on, and to do what?

It might be ASB to make it work. However, it would leak sooner or later so mind control would end up in the private sector.

I think it would be sort of cool if it develops like the computer. At first those big things used for military intelligence, costing megabuck, later more portable and cheaper while still more powerful. Then a comercial break in the 80's (and due to butterflies, jobs outsmart Gates).

I imagine controlling pets or a training aid repeating " keep working" thoughts might be appropriate.

I wouldn't say it needs to be ASB. Even in real life, they were able to erase peoples memories, so if the program lasted longer, or was better run (A decent portion of it was just an excuse to go to parties and do drugs), then they might be able to get it to work.

How do we know it didn't work and we are just controled into beliving it didn't ;)

I guess you could never know that for sure, but from what they were working on it was more like intensive week-month long sessions rathar than sending microwaves through us; ie not the type of thing you can do to large numbers of people.

Isn't MKULTRA where they gave soldiers a bunch of LSD? Seem to remember something like that..anyways....

Heh, I got that line from the cracked article on it, more or less.
