Mithraistic Roman Emperor?

What about women?

Wasn't Mithraism a male only religion?

If so then you would need an equivalent 'state' religion for women - Isis worship perhaps?

I can see an emperor that follows Mithraism-I doubt there would be much of a problem considering it was a Roman religion-and either way, it's popular among the army so it would be mighty hard for anyone to raise up a revolt on the grounds that the emperor was a mithraist.

Also considering the Romans were fairly tolerant of other religions.
