MITHC: WW1 Edition

What would a Central Powers version of Man in the High Castle look like? I imagine a puppet American Empire instead of the Greater Nazi Reich, possibly with the Southwest being occupied by Mexico, as there wouldn't be a Japanese Empire in this version. Europe would be divided up among German-led Mitteleuropa, a Bulgaria that dominates the Balkans, and a surviving Ottoman Empire that controls most of the Middle East. Nationalist China might actually be the main power in Asia, as the Kuomintang got a lot of German support IOTL. Japan would be one of the better off former members of the Entente, but their ability to expand would be pretty much cut off.

A Bolshevik insurgency in Central Asia could be an interesting idea, as a parallel to ex-Soviet partisans. Austria-Hungary could be on the ropes, and the other Central Powers maneuvering to pick up the pieces when the Hapsburg Empire collapses. There also wouldn't be anything like the Holocaust, although German military rule would be nasty.

There's a map of that amidst the more recent posts on the Map Thread.
