Why were the wonder weapons of WWII all ineffective except for the nuclear bomb? It feels like all of the other wonder weapons were a waste of resources and energy except for the nuclear bomb. (I don't count radar as a wonder weapon here)
A lot of them that the Germans came up with near the end of the war were actually practical weapons but they were often way too advanced and overpriced and overall they just drained German resources. Look at the rocket program of Germany for example it was supper expensive and took tons of time to get going and when they did actually finally start hitting targets they had minimal affect by that stage in the war. Now I would not say these weapons were useless but they were years too advanced to be affordable or worth the effort. Another thing is that many of the very impractical weapons were also the most flashy so they are the best remembered today.

The V1 cost the Allies more resources in their interception attempts than it did the Germans to make them, so while it was not an accurate weapon and extremely poor by the standards of later cruise missiles, it was effective in a sense.

Altough it's true it did cost a lot of resources for the Allies, that were also resources of which they had plenty in reserve, like AAA, or didn't want to deploy elsewhere, like the Gloster Meteor. So it didn't rally have an effect on theo wareffort.

Considering the Germans' goal with the V1 was more to cause serious damage to British industry and kill British civilians, I'm not sure "Oh, they forced the British to waste resources trying to intercept them" counts as a victory.

Especially since the interception effort was apparently limited to publishing false damage reports in British newspapers to encourage the Germans to fire the V1s in areas where they could not cause any real damage...

...Which is doubtful it would be such a severe drain on the British economy.

It wasn't limited to that. They also used plenty of AAA, fast fighters to shoot the V-1s down (with a risk to the fighter if it was too close when its fire hit the V-1) and barrage balloons.

would a surviving ottoman empire with no ww1 be able to integrate the arabians? or would they have to do some "forced migration"
The Arabs would more or less just have to be held down by force and nothing else. I don’t think they would introduce any kind of integration program there is just too many Arabs living in the empire and the Ottomans didn’t seem too interested in it in our timeline. However I could maybe see them trying to build a cultural identity for the nation around primarily there shared sect of Islam.

Would it have been possible for the US to create a common market and customs union like the EU post-WW2 instead of or in addition to the Marshal plan? if so, how would that affect the Cold War?

'LBJ Assassinated'.

More specifically, some time after JFK is offed, rather than on the same day.
If Johnson dies, Hubert Humphrey would become president. Civil Rights under Humphrey would be interesting, but I don't know enough to give a good opinion.

For speaking about Vietnam, I think that it would depend on when Johnson dies, I think, pre or post Gulf of Tonkin. If Pre-Tonkin, I don't think Humphrey would have escalated Vietnam to the point at which Johnson did, from what I've read, his support for Johnson's escalation was more out of party loyalty and support for the President's agenda than his own convictions. If post-Tonkin, iirc, Humphrey if elected, did plan to make a speech promising to end the bombing of North Vietnam.

For more social-cultural issues with LBJ being assassinated, it could depend on who kills him. Maybe it's a racist mad over the civil rights act, maybe it's an antiwar protestor.

I also think it could also trigger a re-evaluation of the Secret Service's protective mission. After all, they've lost two presidents in under ten years.

Was there any factor(s) that could have saved RCA after the 1960s? As far as I know, a lot of it came down to poor and unstable leadership, in between its unfocused expansion and the infamous CED videodisc.

What if Italy waited until 1942/3 to join the Axis Powers?
No Greek campaign.
No Balkan campaign.
No Malta's siege.
No Lybian campaign.
No Afrika Korps (a neutral Italy won't allow the Wehrmacht to deploy in Lybia, and there's no need because Musso is not attacking Egypt).
More German troops por Barbarrossa (the ones that OTL are deployed in Greece, Balkans and Africa)
Zero Italian troops in Barbarrossa.
Musso decides that war against Soviet Union (and also USA, Britain and Free France) is a lost cause and stands quiet...

I have been thinking about a scenario where WWI breaks out with the German Confederation still alive. Surely it would be interesting.

I would imagine it would look a lot different from OTL's war. Maybe Prussia and Russia vs Austria, France, and maybe Great Britain for the alliances.

Depends if you man an OTL style WWI with archduke franz getting shot because if so it would likely just devolve into Austria vs Serbia and Russia with possible intervention of some smaller states with claims in Austria like Italy and Romania and maybe some southern German states joining in to assist Austria
