The 80's were a decade which would define the decade that would come. In a political, cultural and in many other ways. But what if, the 80's were different? Could it affect the end of the Cold War? Let's try to answer this, in this TL. This collaboration TL starts on January 1st, 1980 and ends on December 31st, 1989. Let's start with, you guessed it, 1980. And please, don't get too ASB:
1980:
January 21st: George H.W. Bush defeats Ronald Reagan in the Republican Iowa caucus, with 40% of the votes. Reagan surprisingly only gets 25%. In reaction to this, Reagan announces his participation in the Puerto Rico primary.
January 22nd: Andrei Sakharov, Soviet human rights activist, is killed on a police raid in Moscow. Western Nations protest vehemently against the, in their eyes, murder.
