Military technology development speed since WW2

Millitary technology has underwent a dramatic change since World War 2,going from small tankettes to modern MBTs as just one example.
But not all brances have developed with the same speed, and some are today more powerful relative to their origin than others. My question is,how would you rank this? Is it "man tanks have improved so much,I wish artillery did the same" or the other way around? Who can laugh harder at its WW2 counterpart, airforce or navy? Would you say the evolution of Infantry is lacking compared to other troops?

it is difficult to say. but there also have been big changes for infantry, they are just far less visible.
take for example the field rations, compare the ww2 equivalent with modern versions.
same with clothes, with better weather proof fabrics.
and the modern soldier can pack more firepower (thanks to the 40mm underslung for example)

Some things can develop further and more visible.

Here is a way to look at this question. Imagine a soldier from 1945, whether he be an infantryman, tanker, or gunner. Now imagine that soldier in a rifle squad, tank, or gun crew of a present-day army. What proportion of the skills that he had in 1945 are still of use to him? What new skills must he learn?
