Military consequences of Soviet backing for Warsaw rising

Imagine Stalin has a personality transplant or some other Soviet leader decides beating the Nazis is in fact the priority

Could the Warsaw rising have been successful if the Soviet forces were willing to try to relive the rebels and give assistance in terms of air support and dropping supplies?

If so does this shorten the war in Europe?

They gave air support and they dropped supplies...

But onto the real meaning of the question, they likely do what they did with the rest of Polish politician's who weren't willing Soviet stooges. Befriend them, then murder or imprison them when the time's right.

Something I've always wondered if the Western Allies had been more successful after D Day, such as closing the Falaise Gap quicker and possibly causing a full scale collapse of the GermanArmy in France, then would Stalin have ordered the Red Army to drive for Berlin in the autumn of 1944 taking Warsaw in the process?

I don't think this has any real military impact. The Soviet offensive was running out of steam in Poland at this time. They likely could have pushed the Germans out of the area around Warsaw or at least scared off a German attack. But they were not going to keep moving forward for long.

But the Poles would have won. They had basically taken most of the city. Hitler only decided to really fight back when it was obvious that Stalin was not going to assist them. A strong move by the Red Army in support of it would likely have seen the Germans retreat to better defensive positions.

All the changes would be in a greatly changed political situation after the war with the Polish government in exile in Warsaw and leading a Polish Home Army, probably supported by supplies airlifted by the Western Allies into Warsaw. But that Home Army would likely have not done much fighting except as auxiliaries to the main Red Army thrust. It's effect would have been neglible in comparison.
