"Good evening people of the United States of America. Only one year after operation desert storm, there's war again in the middle east. Israel attacked Iraq. I`ve spoken with my colleague in Jerusalem, this attack was an act of defense, as israeli government feared another SCUD-strike by the Iraq. I unterstand the reaction of Israel, and because of this, I come to the conclusion, that the Iraq is a risk for the safety in the middle east. And that's why I announce bombardement of the Iraq immeadiatly. I did it, to show the world, that we, the free people of the world, don't tolerate regimes like that in Bagdad. Thank you for your attention, and god bless you."
"So there's war again in the middle east, and the US intervened again. Stay tuned on NBC for more information. This was Tom Brokaw with a NBC special report."
