Events are certainly building up to that level of paranoia again.

The only problem with that is that the Turkish and Greek Prime Ministers have already warned that if something like that Missile Crisis should happen again, they are both willing to co-operate to prevent passage of anything from anyone, including the closure of the Bosphorous, Suez Canal, and other areas. I'm keeping my eye on the television and apparently some elements of the Royal Hellenic Navy are already on their way (with cover from the Royal Hellenic Armed Forces and the Turkish military) to that area. Personally, this level of Greco-Turkish co-operation is pretty remarkable.
