Medieval TL Ideas

Im thinking of doing another TL concerning on Medieval Times only, so heres my ideas/titles

Dog Days (2.0)
- Timeline in which the Crusades end up sucessfully with a surviving Jerusalem, Edessa, Antioch, Tripoli, and even a Crusader Damascus, all leading up to an event which causes the Mongols to win at a different Ain Jalut

All Under Heaven
- Ogedei doesn't end up drunk and dead and rallies Subotai and the army to invade Vienna and cause sackings all over Central Europe and Northern Italy, they do however leave Europe soon after, but leave a devastating traumatic event to the Westerns

Vladimir's Blessing
- A Vladimir-Suzdal TL in which Genghis Khan is abruptly killed along with Jebe during a battle with the Rus causing the Mongols to break off and fall back to Cumania, however, the Rus do not fully unite but end up as Rich and Powerful Principalities

Giltine's Slaughter
- Lithuanian Pagans never convert to Christianity, they end up losing to the Teutonic Order, but end up causing a bloody insurgency which spills all over Russia and causes a Mongol intervention

Out of those, I'd like Giltine's Slaughter or Dog Days.

But can I suggest one? The Eastern Romans, instead of the Spanish, perform the reconquista.

I actually done Dog Days before, but it seemed no one ever appreciate it....

Im sorry but I can't do a Byzantium-esque TL, there history is completely enigmatic to me

All Under Heaven.

But, if I may make a suggestion: Circa 1020 AD. Cnut the Great adds Poland to his great Empire, and his son keeps it together. A Northern Empire of England, Denmark, Norway, some of the Swedes, Poland, and possibly Normandy.

Insurgencies don't really work very well in the 1400s-1500s for a variety of reasons. I mean sure you can have a rebellion but that is very different than an insurgency in terms of how realistic it is.

Maybe you could mix all four of them (except the places where they contradict).

This.

Now I understand if it might scatter your attention and energy greatly, but a lot of these can be in the same universe. In fact, Dog Days (2.0), Vladimir's Blessing and Giltine's Slaughter (keeping in mind what MNP said) all seem to fit in the same world quite easily.

Couple of suggestions myself:

*Irene of Athens marries Charlemagne following his offer

*following the Battle of Manzikert, Alp Arsulan dodges assassination, while Diogenes continues ruling long enough for the treaty to be formalized

This could be possible, but Im going to literally alter the entire Eastern/Central European landscape and cause multiple butterflies throughout Medieval history...

I have a timeline set in the Middle Ages like that it's called Almohads Survive.;), you can get ideas from there..

The Armenian wife of Baldwin I of Jerusalem dies in captivity. This might go some way of preventing the annulment of his other marriage with Adelaide del Vasto. When Baldwin dies, the crown of Jerusalem passes to Adelaide's sone, Roger II of Sicily. Crusader states are boosted by the military aid of Sicily.

*I* liked Dog Days - I thought it was a fascinating TL actually, and I posted my interest and appreciation of it in the thread. :)

So if you continue that one, that's good.

I'm not sure the Vladimir Suzdal TL makes sense. I would argue that Vladimir-Suzdal was moving towards hegemony, and, ultimately, unification of the Rus principalities.
