Medieval America beyond America

I remember indulging a wild back in reading the semi-famous Medieval America blogs on the internet, and it got me thinking as to how a "Second Middle Ages" would affect the other continents of the world. I doubt Europe would just simply slide straight back into "old-school" feudalism, and I doubt the Chinese would adopt the trappings of an Empire again, so how would the sudden and climactic collapse (let's not discuss why it happens please, that seems to have derailed the Medieval America thread on here a while back) affect the rest of the world and their societies, religion, nations, etc.

If you check out the Medieval America co-op thread in the AH lit, movies, and games subforum, you'll see we've done extensive work (well, speculation and the occasional bout of wild mass guessing) on the rest of the world. It's really good stuff.
