Exactly what it says on the tin. Cermak was the one who actually died as a result of Zangara's attempt on FDR's life. He was the Mayor of Chicago, and his Mayoralty was in many respects a prelude to that of Richard J. Daley. Indeed, of all the Mayors who preceded him, Daley shared the most in common with Mayor Cermak. Cermak, in fact, can be considered the founder of the Chicago Democratic Machine. As was the case when the first Daley died, the aftermath of Cermak's assassination was a period of weak leadership in Chicago. So, basically, what happens if Cermak doesn't die in 1933?
