Maximum imperial colonization in an Ameriwank?

And I don't mean an ASB Ameriwank, obviously.

I'll give an optional and not wholly unlikely scenario to kick it off: No Quebec Act of 1774 and later, better military maneuvering in Canada puts the entirety of British North America in Independent American hands.

Using the increased manpower and resources The United States* decisively win an analogue of the War of 1812* securing their future.

Just a getting the ball rolling type example...

What is the maximum possible colonial Empire available to an alternate U.S. that has been Ameriwanked out of OTL comparison.

Including Africa if possible.

And, of course, affects.

You might get no Quebec Act. "Better military manuevering" . . .

Conquering Canada does not work like that. Not when facing superior forces, working with logistics hell, and people who aren't going to be terribly thrilled to be on your side (even if they're not in favor of the British government, that doesn't mean they want to be part of the US).

The Increased manpower and resources are not enough to make a difference.

Seriously. I hate to stall this before it gets started, but "the US manages to take Canada" stuff always overestimates the US and underestimates the problems - including the British army and navy. And it's not as if Arnold wasn't the man to do it if it could be done with what was available.

A second problem: By the point the US is a power capable of competing in the colonial game, most of the desirable places have been taken, which means picking fights like the Spanish-American War.
