Mataram/Demak and Bruneian partition of Luzon

From what I read Northern Luzon has ties with Java that means that Mataram/Demak would have designs in Northern Luzon if the Spanish did not set in the area first and instead Mataram/Demak would set up a puppet state/sultanate or an affiliated sultanate that rules in the plains of Northern Luzon which is Lower Pampanga river basin, Lower Agno basin and Lower Cagayan River basin but the Inland area remains Pagan or Hindu..while the Bruneians rule in the South of Luzon.

Would that mean that Islam would reach Japan earlier than christianity?

One, that's way too huge a stretch, and two, there was contact between Islam and Japan, albeit very sporadic. They're usually via the Hui in China, or Arab travellers aboard Portuguese ships, and they clearly didn't make much of an impact. You have to remember that Islam in Southeast Asia didn't spread solely from active missionary work (there was some, but generally not much). The first Muslims to arrive were mostly merchants, who generally didn't care to spread their religion. It's only after the conquest of Malacca by the Portuguese and the dispersal of the city's inhabitants throughout the islands that Islam spread more rapidly. Besides which, an Islamic Japan would almost certainly require influence from a much larger region, like China, or an Islamic seafaring power that has pretty sour relations with whoever controls the Bosporous trade route.

Via the Philippines... not happening.

Not happening but the problem is that the Wukou from Japan would be trading with the future Muslim population.
