Chapter 1: Lotta just want to play with her friends
Lotta Schultz and her family grew up in the suburb of Dingtuna around 10 km outside Västerås. Her older sister, mother and father all were involved in the local Dingtuna team so she joined at age 8. At age 9 she showed talents when she scored 8 goals in one game. At 11 she began to grow in size and tried to adjust her style of play. At age 12 she was the top scorer in her team and she was dubbed “Mini Gunilla A xen”. At age 14 she played her last one Fotbollens dag(Day of football) a day for cup fotball in Västerås for youngsters up to the age of 14. Dingtuna reached the final mostly thanks to Lotta. They fell with 3-2 in the final. Lotta scored both goals, but the team Franke who won had a great team with local young superstars Marie K olbert and Malin F link. Lotta, Marie and Malin were great rivals on the pitch, but hardly knew eachother off the field, yet. That changed the year after when the county team was assembled and then Lotta got picked for the u-15 team along with Marie K olbert, Malin F link, Jaana B jörk and M arika Karlsson all from the county of Västmanland.
Lotta and the rest of the Västmanland girls became friends off the pitch despite Lotta not playing many games, she would eventually play 4 U-15 games. Between the 1989 and 1990 season Lotta was aproached by both BK30 and Gideonsberg for the season despite beeing only 15. She decided to play for BK30 while going to the gymnasiet. She choosed Carlforsska gymnasiet and social studies just as Malin and Marika, but since she forgot to mention that she wanted to go to their class they were put in different classes. She got new friends and ended up in a group that was called the entourage.
