Is it tenable to have natural gas infrastructure progress at a comparable rate to electrical infrastructure and interstate highways such as Route 66? The goal is to have all homes heated with natural gas earlier than otl, cars that run on natural gas, and cheaper fertilizers. Perhaps with more investment in fertilizers (due to lower costs), new fertilizers are created that were not in otl, or existing ones are created earlier.

What effect does this have on the great depression? At the very least, the infrastructure spending creates more jobs, lessening the impact of the 1929 depression. More importantly, the comfort enabled by warmer homes, allows the mind to flourish, enabling the information age to occur much earlier than otl.
