"Mary" of Lancaster

WI: Margaret of Anjou has a daughter within 1-2 years of her marriage to Henry VI. The wars break out, but after St. Albans I, it is proposed that her daughter should marry Edward of Marsh, would is only a few years older. This will essentially have the Duke of York rule for Henry VI and have him declare Edward his male heir. Is this workable and can it avoid further conflict?

Would Margaret allow such a thing? She seemed desperate for a son, and as such, things might spiral out of control considering her perceived loathing of the Duke of York
